FROM THE PRESIDENT

Caterham School

Our club is seeking a significant increase in membership during the coming year.  We also intend to continue to improve our delivery of service to the community at home and overseas.  Our principal aims this year for our World Community service efforts are the Rotary Polio Plus project to eradicate polio from the world and Shelterbox which delivers aid when and where it is needed at times of disaster.

The purpose of these pages is to tell you a little about Rotary does and more particularly what Caterham Harestone Rotary Club does.  If you are just discovering Rotary and feel inspired to find out more having read these pages feel free to contact us to arrange to come to one of our Monday night meetings by clicking on this link.

Existing Rotarians are always welcome at our Monday Evening Meetings. See the Meetings Page for details.

The club has a varied programme of speakers and community activities along with social events.  This website will tell you about some recent activities.

Why Rotary?

Rotary is a democratic service organisation of business, professional and community leaders with more than 1.2 million members in 150 countries dedicated to helping those in need, encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations, and working towards understanding and peace in their own communities and throughout the world.

Rotarians seek to apply a four-way test to their thoughts, communications and deeds:
  • Is it the truth?
  • Is it fair to all concerned?
  • Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  • Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
