GATES FOUNDATION
GIVE ADDITIONAL $255 MILLION
TO ROTARY FOR FIGHT AGAINST POLIO
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are
giving a further $255 million to Rotary to help with its project to
eradicate Polio from the world. This is in addition to the $100
million given last year. In this grant $100 million must be
matched by Rotary by 2012, in addition to the $100 million already
required to be matched by the previous grant.
The announcement was made by Bill Gates
himself at the Rotary International Assembly in California on 21/1/2009.
